RELAX Food, Drinks & You - Köln

This is the bar/restaurant of the Mercure Hotel Severinshof, worth a try. Good Kölsch and finger plates but also a decent menu for small and big hunger. Sounds that the wines list is also good, though I did not try any.

The room was clean and there is also plenty of space. the breakfast is good and sufficient. only a pity that the minibar on the room is not filled.

Well one of these hotels they only claim if they find no other. there is nothing special about it and everything is somehow gray in gray. there is also a very good breakfast and nice staff not much to save. I'm not gonna look in here anymore.

In the mercure hotel severinshof I have lived again and again since 2006, most recently in March 2016. with more than 250 rooms, the hotel is also aimed at tourists and business travelers. the hotel is located on the border between the high-attractive Cologne old town and the lively, happy farewell quarter. with lighter luggage you can reach it from the main railway station to foot. to the rheinufer are few steps. car drivers find the hotel and its spacious underground garage at the intersection of the transversal north-south approach with the incoming road over the severinsbrücke. the connection to public transport is excellent, three train lines keep directly at the house. the rooms that I always felt very pleasant, whether it was a simple room or a junior apartment. This time I had booked for my wife and me a “privileg room” that was almost huge and with his balcony and his kitchenette was also suitable for permanent residents. furnished it was equipped with a very comfortable double bed, a folding sofa, a dining group with three places, a writing table, several chairs and neat wardrobe. the big tw was unfortunately only good to see from the bed. minibar and coffee machine were well equipped. everything was perfectly tied and pieksauber. the small bathroom was stylishly decorated, great equipped and well lit perhaps because so the stainless steel flaps of the plug fell into the eye that were ugly dirty.
