Came here for lunch with coworkers. They didn't have an English menu, but I won't knock them a star for that. Food was very good and staff more than willing...
Noodles on noodles, felt like a refreshing home cooked meal. Pesto mmmmm all mmm nice people
This is a small restaurant that makes handmade pasta and very fresh ingredients. It is order and pay first then the food and drinks are brought to you. The ambience is very nice. Big wooden benches and tables with big hanging lights so the spotlight is on the food and perfect for instagramming. There was some confusion at the till but the guy was able to sort it out for us in a friendly manner so we were very pleased you could have some banter with the staff. The wine was a tad pricier than we were expecting. They have a nice selection of craft beer too. The pasta dishes prices kinda seem a bit expensive but considering the pasta is fresh handmade on site it's probably fine. Food did not take long to arrive. I had the spinach pesto with pecorino and more spinach and it was absolutely delicious. Pasta very much al dente. Beautiful flavours. More friendly banter with the very visually appealing staff on the way out. We will be back!
First surprise to hear at 8.45 PM "we close soon " ...but than " don't you worry , we make you something to eat " . Second surprise the "Bandnudeln" (tagliatelle or fettuccine) onKale-pesto...Cross over of italian Pasta with typical Rhenania-winter-veggie ! Combined with souht-african red wine a perfect match ! The massif tables and benches give a sturdy and quiet "Zen"-impression which is confirmed by the food. All is prepared in view (open kitchen),all ingredients are taken by local farmers :the guys really nice , fast and friendly.....Certainly a place to return......this time a bit earlier.....but surely later than "the chicken go to bed-hour" !
