Beautiful atmosphere but the prices are already relatively high. But you get super delicious haxen

It is located on the Frankenwerft, Salzgasse (a former Roman access road to the Rhine) and Buttermarkt. We drove along the Rhine and I saw it, the Haxenhaus. There was no chance to change my mind. Because of the temperature, we didn't want to sit in the big beer garden and found a warm corner inside. I really felt comfortable. The service is very attentive and beautiful, suitable for the overall picture of the Haxenhaus. The first celiac tasted, but somewhat different from I know beer because it came very fast, even clear before I finished the card. Although, this is not really a hint at special speed, because the more of my most popular dishes are on it, the longer the decision for a court meets. I had to decide between Haxen and Bratwurst, it had already happened... In the end, a barbecue with me was won and my treasure took another haxe. I was allowed to help her with remnants, which was not difficult for me because of the taste, but my saturation saw something else, she still lost... We armed Stelecht with a sharp steak knife for about 60 euros and drank all two crumbs. I can recommend this hostage with good conscience.

You imagined it well in the old town of Cologne, in the sun, sitting on the Rhine and eating cozy lunch. The city center wanted to avoid, after the holiday one was used to the heavenly tranquility of the East Friesians, which one wanted to do for a while. Then it began what was the name of the parking lot in the old town, it was forgotten. So on the new market. Oh, my God, that was a traffic here. Somehow we landed in Karstadt Parkhaus. Of course, the old town was not right outside the door, so a piece of downtown has to stop. In a hurry, the Schildergasse went ahead, to Gürzenich Straße, more people in a street when you had seen during the whole week on holiday, finally came the Rhine, it was still in the head that around the corner are some locals, yes they came, the first haxenhaus was chosen. On the outside there were a lot of seats, occupied were only three or four, and the only ones that seemed the sun. As a very cool wind blows, we decided to sit inside. I hope it wasn't too crowded. Inside, surprise. A beautiful, historic guest house, in the style of a brewery restaurant, with lots of wood and many old decorations. And completely empty, no gift. One could have thought of why a restaurant is empty in this central, beautiful place in Cologne, but we were only happy to have our peace. Two friendly young servants took care of us, the obligatory grain was offered immediately, my husband approved one, I was more accurate. If we look into the menu, we regret having ordered a drink, otherwise we would have gone. In our opinion, prices for the foods offered are not ashamed. As the name says, haxen in many variants, mostly with roast potatoes as a supplement, were between 18 and 20 euros. We wouldn't have wanted a witch, but the decision for one of the few other dishes was difficult. Bratkartoffeln had already been on vacation, so my husband chose half a meter of sausage with salad for 14.95 euros and I put with curry sauce and rice for 16.80 euros. These were the best dishes, except soup. Although no guests were there, it took a long time before the food came, which did not bother, a thought for these prices will come a little. Then a bowl of sachet salad came, and there was a small sausage upstairs. The most interesting were the three bowls with different dressings. My husband ate a part, but the salad didn't taste him. My rice was still quite hard, but it is still edible, the few pieces of turkey lie on it, immersed in curry sauce, tasty. We paid 40 euros for the two foods and two mercenaries and one particular one. I feel good. The place is certainly beautiful, but even if our wife Merkel and the family Ewing are to be seen on the pictures of the former guests, the price-performance ratio does not fit much too expensive, no wonder that there are much more guests sitting in the locals of the neighborhood. Not again next time.
