Contribuiți la feedbackMy first visit to the Balthasar started by phone. Called, desired day and time and reserved a table. The phone was very nice and friendly. In the late afternoon we went there. Parking was possible in the immediate vicinity, there are actually plenty of parking bags available. So get in the restaurant. 2 seats were available. A normal table with chairs and a high table. The choice fell on the chair variant. Inside it is relatively narrow. Some places are probably designed for the shape factor 90 60 90. And that doesn't mean the legs... : o Object of desire was rubbing cake all you can eat. But first order a beer, there is Gaffel Kölsch. Where we're on the subject of Kölsch. It is not only the strongest drink there, but the whole restaurant is characterized by Kölsch and Cologne. Pictures with Cologne motifs, wooden decorations and own Kölsch glasses. One is very connected to the “home”. This also reflected in the food you noticed later... : o After a while you brought the apple and then it didn't take long until the first grater cake plate came. Three grater cakes, butter and black bread. The latter was so combined that one could see the Cologne Cathedral. I admit it, but that's what happened to me in the photo just after that... Funny I found the plates too. Sawings like cardboard plates, but were made of porcelain. And then it went to taste. I felt it was quite spicy, take it from the type of preparation or the fat used. But they were always delicious. After half was plastered, the operation came and said: I have already commissioned supplies. This came also after a short “pause”. But I haven't managed all too many. I'm just too fat. During eating “moved” a scavenger at my height of eyes past the table. And that looked delicious. That's a reason to go back there. As far as rubbing cakes are concerned, these are now enough for a certain time... And the staff also sprays the typical wooden charm:
Great local atmosphere and eat, real and honest service
Great little pub, much character, personal was great, colsh was best we had during our visit.
Great service, good food and really good beer.
