Country Family - Kirtland

Passing through on our way back to Texas so we rely heavily on reviews. Based on our route back to Texas this establishment had a little bit of a higher rating. Per the review seemed like a good place to stop the food was delicious. I had the Hamburger Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Corn and Brown Gravy. Vibes and Service felt unwelcoming but we ate and got back on the road. Maybe we visted on an off day.

Food Was Delicious ? Restroom Needed Some Cleaning ? Parking: Restaurant Parking Suprisingly Had Got Busy After We Had Been Seated.

The breakfast ham was very good and cut good not too thin.

It is a good place to stop on the trip and have lunch. The staff was very friendly and an older lady took great care of me. The food was exquisite and they were kind in preparing the food to my liking. The atmosphere is clean and calm… although they could add some local background music. If you are a truck driver you can take up some space in the back at the speedway gas station next to the restaurant. I 100% recommend this place and I will stop here again on my next trip here.

I’ve never had Navajo tacos from this restaurant and thought it would be nice to buy 3 for family of 5 to share with everyone. But the meal wasn’t great. The frybread tasted different heavy, doughy and greasy not well cooked. The meat and beans were very bland no seasoning at all. It was very greasy in the center of the Navajo taco. I wished I had looked at the order before purchase since I was traveling back home. My family and I were very disappointed and we decided to cook a little meal for dinner.
