Linthwaite Sandwich - Kirklees

The sandwich bar is great, especially when the owner is there. She is friendly, chatty, and always has a smile for you. However, when she is not around and the younger female staff members are running the place, it can be chaotic. Unfortunately, on Monday 15th, Sue was not there, which is not uncommon. I ordered a simple breakfast box and a sausage sandwich, but things went wrong. I was told it was cash only after the food was cooked, with no explanation or apology. There was no sign indicating 'cash only today'. When I returned with cash, the girl was on a FaceTime chat instead of serving me. The order was completely incorrect, missing the egg and having double sausage and bacon instead.

I recently had breakfast as a treat for my last day of work and it was absolutely delightful. I had it delivered and it arrived piping hot, with coffee included.

I visited this restaurant today and attempted to order two breakfasts on large tea cakes. However, I was informed that they did not have any large tea cakes available, which was understandable. What was unexpected was being told that they could not fulfill the order due to a large catering order. I was offered a normal sandwich instead, which, while good, was not what I had originally wanted. The service was efficient, but there was a longer than expected wait for the food.

I ordered two Linthwaite "bad boy" breakfasts and two ham sandwiches. Overall, the food was good and I will definitely be going back.
