Spotted Duck

The location is nice, the food is decent, but the service is virtually non-existent. We sat down, placed our order without any problems, and received our food promptly which was all good. However, after that, there was no further contact with the staff until we decided to leave. I got a regular coffee with a free refill, but I was never offered a refill. We wanted dessert but didn't bother asking since the staff seemed disinterested. The tables around us, including ours, were littered with dirty dishes that were not cleared. It's a shame, but the overall experience was shabby. This restaurant is not for me, and I will not be returning.

Met group of friends. Afternoon teas and ordering off menu. Lovely atmosphere. Welcoming. Service excellent. Gluten free Afternoon tea wonderful. All meals scumous and portion size amazing. Overall a excellent experience and we will recommend and return.

We had a Christmas dinner gathering with 23 family and friends, and it was absolutely fantastic. The food and service were outstanding. Each one of us left full and happy.

I had a fantastic afternoon at the Spotted Duck! I was amazed by how delicious their gluten-free cream tea was. They offered a variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiches, scones with jam and clotted cream, and a top-tier selection of cakes and biscuits. My friends also loved their cream teas. I highly recommend this place, even though it may be a bit hidden. I will definitely be returning to try more items on their menu as there is so much to choose from.

What a lovely place for a coffee and whatever takes your fancy. We had a lovely afternoon tea. Even needed a goody box-and believe you me that’s a real rarity for us. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the place was so relaxing.
