Contribuiți la feedbackWow! Wow! Wow! Small, intimate place. Great food and service. I had the Wild Boar appetizer. The meat was so tender, that trying to stab it with a fork caused it to split. So tender and delicious. I also had the Salmon. Perfectly done! Will definitely go back!
BUT: watch the pricing.Delicious but over-priced (in my opinion).Pre-tip bill for two people without _any_ beverages: $181.Because the menu is fresh each day, there is not a written menu with pricing. Therefore they verbally share the menu, without offering pricing. So be sure to ask.Service was excellent. Food was delicious, though rich. Atmosphere was cozy and very nice. My only criticism is I think several of the dishes (tho not all of them) were notably overpriced.
My partner and I Finally got a date night off together and I have been wanting to try Lola's for a while. I drive by daily and always see a crowd waiting outside which always piqued my interest. We reserved the earlier of the 2 hour seatings and got a nice table for 2 by the door. This was midweek, and it was still a sold out seating. The service started nicely. We were welcomed by the host and after a brief chat, we opened our BYOB of wine and had a sip.The server politely introduced herself and let us know what was on the apparently ever changing menu be aware, there is no menu to look over to make decisions and they give you no pricing, it's all ala cart. I had to ask twice about the menu because she tells you the entire menu all at once. you order apps and entree's all at the same time. I'd liked to have had a menu to look at, I felt pressured into ordering things that I was unsure of...The chef cooks in the same room which was kind of fun. For anminute. Unfortunately, he didn't turn on the overhead fan until the room was starting to get smokey, I could see people started having a hard time breathing, as did I and asked about it and she let the chef know and he turned on the exhaust fan. Opening the door for a while may have been a good idea, our clothes were saturated with the food smells, a friend later mentioned that we smelled delicious! Ha! The apps were tasty, we ordered gnocchi and ravioli dishes to split, for dinner she ordered a salmon and scallops dish which was good and I ordered a monstrous filet I love a good filet and this one sounded fantastic I orderd the fillet Rare to Medium Rare, as one should with any filet, but it came out medium WELL and since we only had a 2-hour window to eat, and it was already 7:30 when our food came out, I couldn't send the steak back to be remade in time... Disappointed for sureIt was getting late, so we got a piece of delicious double chocolate cake to go and ate it later. All in all, I'm going to give it a Meh. Food was mostly good, service was friendly but it was smokey at least until they turned on the exhaust fan and they burned my steak...Not sure if I'll be back.I guess I could suggest knowing what your getting into here and if it all goes well, it's not a bad place.Cheers.
This place has ruined me for all other restaurants in key west. Amazing local seafood and the flavors that the chef produces are just sublime. Equally as enjoyable is watching chef calmly cook for the whole room never seeming flustered. I would say if you are trying to decide between this place and another one....pick here!!
Incredibly quaint, they have maybe 12 tables, all of which are always full I would imagine. The chef is right there with the ingredients all displayed. It's highly recommended for anyone going to Key West!!! Remember that it is BYOB!
