Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

Ordered the NY strip and eggs. Medium rare with the hasbrown casserole. The steak was just totally wrong. I can eat a well done steak, which is how it was served. I really tried to eat it. After two bites, I thought ok put a little salt on it maybe, still awful. So I put a little syrup on it. It got worse. I spit it out. I’ve traveled the world and this is the worse thing I have ever eaten.

We were a large group in the back room and the waiters worked hard to take care of everyone.

This restaurant has gone downhill fast. I'm not sure if it has to do with not recovering from the covid debacle or what, but the service is the worst part. Slow, don't bring any biscuits or cornbread without asking, can't get the orders right and on and on. It used to be one of my favorite places, but not anymore.

LOVE this restaurant!! Always clean and waiters and waitresses are always efficient and friendly!! The food is GREAT!!
