Emma's Market Grill - KAHUKU

Great curry shop! The food is delicious, and they stock all the good Polynesian food (canned, frozen and packaged) that is hard to find on regular stores.

This review is for the people who think they have taken over the Fiji Market Curry Shop. My advice to you... STOP SELLING CURRY AND GROCERIES YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT. CHANGE THE NAME IF YOU ARE CHANGING EVERYTHING ELSE. I have been a long time patron of the old Fiji Market. The family that owned it was great, the food was to die for, and I would always get all my Indo-Fijian groceries from there. NOT ANYMORE. I wanted one of their famous roti-wraps, come to find out they don't make them anymore. The nice Indian family that ran this place is gone, and some others are there instead. The samosa was DISGUSTING, you can tell the were previously frozen. The CURRY MADE ME SICK, and the tomato chutney is a joke, probably from a bottle. OH, let's not forget the ROTI THEY SOLD ME RAW. I'm literally sick to my stomach after taking five bites of the food, about to throw up. Once I figure out how to post pictures of the food we spent over $20 and can't even eat any of it, I will share it with all of you. CHANGE YOUR NAME YOU ARE NOT FIJI MARKET ANYMORE. What a joke.

I'm am so saddened that Fiji market is no longer Fiji market! Miss the Fijian Indian family they where so friendly and so cool! Had the best curry ever and awesome portions! Was totally shocked when I walked in there and it was Emma's! Didn't get that warm Hi and hello as I did when it was Fiji market!!!

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that Fiji market is now Emma's market. It is no longer run by that awesome Fiji Indian family. The kitchen inside has changed as well. Chicken Curry lunch plate includes a decent portion of chicken but it tastes more like a Japanese curry (to me) than Fijian curry. No heat at all. It was okay but it was not what I was used to at that location. Also no more amazing roti. My husband had the pork adobo which is new on the menu. He loved it and I thought it was great as well. His mac salad bordered on al dente and was bland. Overall this has become an ok lunch plate place, not the location for delicious Fijian curries.

Oh man. I was so bummed with the curry today. It was super bland. I think they forgot the salt and the spice. Not tasty like it used to be and no hot bread and no dahl.
