Contribuiți la feedbackStopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. We were greeted and seated immediately. Water was poured and menus were brought. We each ordered a beer while we looked over the extensive menu. They offer lunch specials. The menu was split into appetizers, noodles, rice, specialties, sushi, Japanese and kids so if you knew what you wanted you could easily find it. We took our time looking over the menu since we were open to trying new things. We started with shrimp in a blanket -four nice size shrimp in a wonton with plum sauce. They were served ahead of our meal and came our steaming hot and crispy. For entrees we orders the red curry with rice, vegetables and fried tofu at a 2, and the pad woon sen with pork at a 4. The heat level is 1-6 for reference. The food came quite quickly and looked so good. We both enjoyed our meals but would each increase the heat level by 1 next visit. The 2 was fairly mild and the 4 had some heat but seemed more mid level. Our server Dijana was very helpful and did a great job keeping water filled and answering our questions. We will be back.
Not bad... I work on the road, so I eat out a lot. I am always a little reluctant to try Asian places, whereas they are always so Hit and Miss. This place was a hit. I had the garlic noodle with chicken. The noodles were nice and light, they didn't drown the dish with an overabundance of sauce, and the veggies tasted fresh. You can have them adjust the heat levels to your liking. I personally like it hot. They give you a big portion, so be prepared to take some home with you. Overall Dish Score 6.9
I had been anticipating trying this new restaurant. If you like authentic Asian, stay away. The spring rolls, though stuffed with fresh ingredients, were wrapped in a tough thick substance, not the clear wrapping I had expected. The peanut sauce wasn't a sauce at all, but a thick paste, the consistency of peanut butter. The Pad Thai contained chicken, when I specifically requested tofu. I had asked for a level 3 spice, and there was barely any detectable at all. At least the vegetables were fresh and crunchy, the only positive thing I can say. My meal was also supposed to contain an order of chicken fried rice, but it was not included in the bag. They said the driver left it, but if it were in the bag, I doubt he would have taken it out. Needless to say, no effort was made to see that I received it, on the contrary, the man on the phone hung up on me when I requested it, saying I could come get it myself. Stay Away!!
We really enjoyed the Thai food here for a while. Then there was a period that it got so bad that we stopped going. After trying every Thai restaurant in the metro area, we gave DeRice another chance and it is back on top. They must have changed chefs...and it is really good again. All of the curries, pad Thai, pad see ew, cashew chicken, bacon wrapped shrimp—it’s all been too notch again. We’ve eaten there about 5 times in then last 3 months, and it’s been consistently great again.
We went there with two other people. There were two people in the whole place in addition to us. The staff informed us that they did not do flights. We had to give the attendance attention in order to get more wine. I had two more people come in. Overall, we were not impressed with the whole experience.
