Ocean Basket Rosebank - Johannesburg

This restaurant is a dream come true for seafood enthusiasts! My favorite dish is undoubtedly a generous serving of salmon accompanied by fried calamari and prawns. The prices are incredibly reasonable given the large portions. Additionally, they offer some truly delightful cocktails and ciders that you can enjoy with your meal!

The seafood options at this restaurant are excellent, though there aren't many choices for vegetarians. I really enjoyed the halloumi cheese and salad. The staff who managed and served were fantastic. The ambiance was pleasant as well.

I had a lovely sushi lunch with friends, and our waiter was very friendly and attentive, even though we had to wait a little longer for our food to come out. We chose to order platters to share since the sushi prices are a bit steep. The sushi was delicious, but it wasn't the best I've ever tasted. Overall, it was a nice experience.

My husband and I waited for 10 minutes without receiving menus or drinks. After he raised the issue with the waiter, we were assured that our needs would be taken care of. However, we still waited a long time for our food to arrive. The restaurant was quite busy, which seemed to overwhelm the kitchen staff. On the bright side, the food was fantastic!

I had prawns for the first time, and the Platter for One was a delicious assortment of everything. I have a question, though: I lost my bank card and only had enough cash to cover the meal, but I felt pressured to pay a 10% tip. Is this mandatory or optional?
