Delicomb - Jacksonville Beach

To be fair, I'm a bit older than many of the other patrons at this deli. I ordered the all-vegetable sandwich, and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. There was an overwhelming amount of the darkest hummus I've ever tasted—about three inches thick. It must have been made from a new type of bean or something. Regardless of its health benefits, I ended up scooping it off, leaving me with a rather uninspired sandwich. The location, being close to the beach but with no view, also made the meal feel a bit overpriced. On the plus side, it was convenient to our hotel. If I come back, I think I'll try a bagel and coffee instead, as those looked really delicious.

I had the Semi Cuban. One of the finest sandwiches I have ever had. Totally enjoyed. Funky (in a good way) organic feel to place. Fully recommend! These are not pre prepared so there is a short wait for your sandwich totally worth it.

I visited for lunch and was blown away by how fantastic this place is! Be sure to arrive with an appetite, as the portions are quite generous. I ordered the Bittersweet Salad and topped it with their homemade curry chicken salad, which was enough for two meals! I really enjoyed the atmosphere and will definitely be returning to try their coffee and breakfast sandwiches!

The person that took my order was so rude! I was shocked to find out it was actually the owner, what a shame. Never again. Food is mediocre at best. So many other places that are tastier with much better service, don't waste your time or money here.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant, and the air conditioning was quite strong, but the staff were friendly. I ordered the Mr. Loco, which was really tasty, but I felt $9 was a bit steep for a dish served on a basic piece of sandwich bread. If it had been served on a bagel or a special roll, the price would have made more sense, but I was somewhat disappointed when it arrived. I also tried an iced chai since I don't drink coffee, but they added so much milk that I could barely taste the chai! I like to support local businesses, so I'm hoping to return and experience a better balance of milk to chai next time. Update: I went back and ordered the Mr. Loco on a cheddar bagel, and it was fantastic, plus I didn’t have to pay extra!
