Serendipity's Backlot - Ithaca

Five of us had a wonderful evening. We sat under the tent and enjoyed the breezes. Loved the Bulgogi wings. I had the Chimmichurri steak, which was perfect.

What a great surprise! Tucked behind South Hill Business campus on a huge lawn with outdoor seating areas, some with firepits, soothing lighting, bar, music and incredible food. Outdoor movies and I think live music. Tons of parking. A must visit.

Lovely atmosphere but it is VERY overpriced and the service was terrible. They are obviously overwhelmed and have not figured out how to manage a restaurant. I ordered a burger and fries (the fries you have to order as an app and cost 8$ on top of a 16$ burger) and my drinks came 15 minutes AFTER I got my food.. very disappointing.

A very cute new spot to grab brunch. A bit pricey in my opinion, but it is at the same price point of comparable Ithaca brunches. There was live music, and umbrellas for when it started raining. The food was delicious.

Serendipity’s backlot has the best food I’ve tasted since moving to Ithaca. It’s consistently delicious. I hope they reopen this summer. I first went there because it felt like a safe Covid dining alternative, but kept going back because of the food.
