İmperİal Galata Restorant - Istanbul

Steer well clear of this place. They rip off tourists. Most of the locals know about this already and don't go there. Great normal restaurants elsewhere. This is not one of them.

DO NOT GO HERE. It is a scam. They will over charge and add extra charges for views, cards etc etc. Locals are appalled at the way these bridge restaurants abuse tourists. I advise you to stay away. Highly recommend the Galata Tower area, where your custom will be appreciated.

Very Bad restaurant! Poor service. Food took too long to be served and bill was so long to be shown. Food’s price was average in the menu but the when the bill came out, it is so expensive as they said “it is because you took many kilos” but we only ordered one serving of it. BASICALLY A SCAM RESTAURANT! They will force you to get their side dish which they didn’t explain that you have to pay for it. VERY BAD FOOD AND SERVICE. OVERALL VERY POOR RESTAURANT. NOT RECOMMENDABLE FOREVER!

The food and the service were terrible. The meal took 20-30 minutes to be served and the main course and the rice doesn’t even come at the same time. The fish were okay, but the rice was not well cooked and it’s cold. Our other group member ordered chicken and it was burnt and dried out. We also asked for a bottle of water and it never came, until we asked another waiter. The overall, rating for this restaurant is bad. We do not recommend coming.

Somehow the biggest cheating, that's hard for foreigners. they will change 600 liras, just to sit at the front of the restaurant. I and my husband visited after their broochure. we went in, the whole restaurant was empty, they told us where to sit, showed us the fish, etc. at the end of our meal, when we asked for the bill, the musicians came in to play music for us, not on our request, and wanted to be tipped for a minute while the bill came. I am convinced that the entire Galata Bridge is managed by a mafia. the fish was 600 lira, at the table sat 600 lira. never again
