The Colonnade - Irvington

My husband and I had the best dinner at The Colonnade! It was four course dining experience and each course was just incredible. It's clear the Chef is so passionate about her work and we appreciated that she came out to chat with dining guests. The suggested wine pairings were really great as well. Heather did a great job of making sure we were always taken care of. Can't wait to come back!

I had a fantastic weekend getaway in Irvington to celebrate my 50th birthday. The hospitality, food, and cottage were all outstanding!

Of particular note was the silky, vanilla panna cotta served with a berry coulis for dessert. It was absolutely out of this world! I've never been a huge fan of panna cotta, but Chef Meseret completely changed my perspective. In addition to her remarkable culinary skills, she is a fantastic hostess and a worldly individual. It was a pleasure when she kindly came to check on us and inquire about our meal. I even learned how she prepares the panna cotta, and she and my mother had a delightful conversation in German. We discovered that Meseret has been at the Hope Glory Inn for 19 years—what a treasure for the establishment! She is truly an asset to the inn, as is Heather, who provided us with wonderful service that evening. Bravo, ladies!

What a wonderful evening! Our waitress attended to our every need and request with great care. The beautiful inn created a perfect atmosphere for what might be the best meal we've had in years. Every one of the four courses was a delight for the taste buds. Thank you, Chef Messeret, for sharing your incredible culinary artistry with us!

My wife and I initially faced difficulties getting return phone calls to secure a dinner reservation for Valentine's Day, but persistence paid off in the end. We had an excellent meal. I had a conversation with Chef Meseret, who explained that the challenges were due to Covid, and her reasoning seemed quite valid. The most important aspects were the quality of the food, the service, and the upscale atmosphere, all of which were exceptional. If you enjoy speaking French, you'll have a delightful time chatting with the Chef about her career, travels, and her culinary creations. It was truly a wonderful experience. We enjoyed the wine so much that we ended up buying a second bottle to take home. We highly recommend dining here and plan to return ourselves. Bon appétit!
