Contribuiți la feedbackWe came here to celebrate a birthday, although we originally wanted to eat from next door, the Black Cat restaurant. However here at the Black Cat Harbor Shack, 90% of the Black Cat Restaurant menu is available. The Black Cat Harbor Shack had generous portions and friendly staff. The drink menu was extensive too. Outdoor seating was nice and there is a good view of the boats and harbor. Metered parking is available near by. They also had menus available via QR code. Overall,it was great place to eat.
This is a nice place but I?m not sure we would return. We each had the clam chowder which was okay but perhaps our expectations were too high, as they are very proud of having won the best chowder of the Cape, but we preferred the chowder we had at the Old Yarmouth Inn. Also had one so-so cocktail (a bit watery) and the lobster roll (warm) which was okay but very expensive. Fries are extremely thin which I didn?t care for. Ended up paying $80 for this smallish lunch whichseems a lot considering that it?s a very simple place. Might try the Black Cat restaurant next door next time, but we wanted to sit outdoors and have a view of the harbor.
Clam chowder was decent. Ordered mussels, which was a small portion for the price and came came with a single piece of bread?I swear I almost broke a tooth trying to take a bite of it even after leaving it soaking in the sauce (and everyone knows the sauce is the best part at the end). Our waitress responded ?yeah I hear that alot,? and walked off. I don?t mind spending money for good food but this was definitely not worth it.
