Contribuiți la feedbackI have dined at this restaurant several times and I have never been disappointed. It has a family-friendly atmosphere, with even the small children helping out. The menu is excellent and the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food. It's definitely worth going the extra mile to eat here.
I recently visited this incredible restaurant and was immediately impressed by the cozy atmosphere. We were welcomed by a charming young girl who seated us. The experience only got better from there. The food was outstanding!!! Chef Francois personally came out for each course to describe the dish and ensure our satisfaction. The 7-course menu does take time, but it's well worth it. I highly recommend checking out this fantastic spot with friends. And the best part? It's BYOB, adding to the charm. The prices are also quite reasonable for the quality of the meal.
The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was family-friendly, and the decor had a charming old farmhouse feel. It felt like dining at Grandma's house, with the chef cooking up delicious meals. Big thanks to François and the whole family!
We joined Domaine de la Templerie outside Huntingdon, Québec on the other day for a autumn meal. It was a beautiful, sunny, cool day. We started to go the farm and enjoy a glass of wine. We were served small appetizers of wild boar sausages, duck deserts and bruschetta on an attractive terrace. We were called into the dining room and started with a tomato pudder soup. Next we shared a plate of the house charcuterie, the tète-fromagé, liver mousse, salad and beautified onions. The next course was pheasant ravioli in a cream tomato sauce. We then had a granite of strawberry crème de cassis ice. After this course we had a walk outside and enjoyed the sunny day again. After about half an hour we were called to the dining room and had served Mignon in a mushroom port wine sauce with a Medley of summer vegetables, cauliflower gratinée and small roasted potatoes. Next we had a garden salad with a light homemade mustard vinaigrette. The last course was a dessert plate with maple cream cake and maple mouse served with coffee or tea and a chocolate Grand Marnier truffle. This was an excellent culinary experience. The food was wonderful and the pace was cozy and relaxed. The costs including taxes and tip were $60(Am) per person with the current exchange rate. You can bring your own alcohol because they do not serve themselves. The owner and boss, François Guillon, is very nice and accommodating. Our diet was very sweet and dedicated. We enjoyed talking to her! This place is designed for group dinner and the menu is completed before time. Everyone must have the same menu. We cannot expect to return next year!
This was my fourth dinner at the Domaine. I usually attend with colleagues and their spouses. The menu is always exciting and varys with the season. The owners work had to ensure large groups are satisfied and take the time to explain each portion of...the service. The BYOB aspect is much appreciated, as one can choose wines to accompany the meals at the local SAQ without breaking the bank on alcohol during the meal. The price is fixed per person and what you get is an excellent meal throughout the evening in great company. Our fifth visit has been scheduled.
