Tapa's Restaurant Lanai Bar - Honolulu

I was a bit drunk so I didn't realize that this restaurant was LGBTQ friendly. As a straight girl, I appreciated the welcoming atmosphere after dealing with rude guys at another pub. Thank you! And they have vodka tonics for only $10!

Axel was extremely attentive and consistently made sure my drink was topped up. However, I found the restaurant to be unclean, with other diners frequently wandering into the kitchen as if they owned the place. Additionally, the bathroom required a passcode to unlock the door, which was inconvenient.

After being turned away from most bars or facing up to a 3-hour wait for a drink, these people welcomed us warmly like old friends! We enjoyed a couple of hours there before our dinner reservation. The drinks were excellent, and it happened to be someone's birthday so they even shared their cake with us! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a relaxed atmosphere.

John is the most pleasant and accommodating person ever!! He is so attentive! On my birthday, he gave me my favorite blueberry pancakes without being asked. Who does that? He's always working and tries to give a variety of meals on his menu. I want to eat there every night but I live in Kaneohe. The bartenders are great, always making sure your glass is filled and you're happy. What more could you ask for?

Absolutely love this place! Had the best experience after such a long stressful night out at the clubs dealing with dumb*as bouncers who thought my REAL WA ID was fake. My friends and I were served by Michael/Victoria who totally lifted our spirits and gave us a great time. They treated us to their favorite drink when we had no idea what to order and made us feel incredibly welcome. Definitely would recommend; the vibes or great!!
