Hiwasse Diner

Refreshed from about a year ago.Removed some benches. Made more space. Really worked wellFood was good. Service was lacking a bit from what we guessed was a new young lady server. That's ok, she'll learn with time.Will be returning to this small town, cute and quaint restaurant.

Each time we dine there our meals have been good. Now serving prime rib on Saturdays. Going to give that a try real soon.

The food was good, especially for the price, which was good. We were there at the busiest time for Sunday lunch, and the food was a bit slow coming out of the kitchen. It was packed and bit noisy.

Really enjoyed the food. But I couldn't understand why they didn't butter the toast. By the time we got our breakfast, the toast was cold and the butter wouldn't spread well.Other then that it was fine.

Awesome Diner (locals know it as the Hiwasse Hilton Diner) great home cooked southern food, home made pies, great breakfast ? lunch and dinner specials. My party had taco salad , chef salad with chicken strips and I had the famous cheese burger ? . Chicken fried steak is the Sunday special ? ? love this place. I will be back.
