A local recommended Rio Grande and we weren’t disappointed! The service and the food were both excellent! We will definitely return when in the area, even if not on a Monday!!!
I had a special platter that had a ground beef taco, a ground beef enchilada, a chalupa with guacamole salad, a chili relleno, a tamale (chicken) plus rice and beans. $14. No kidding. Everything was delicious—tasted homemade. The margarita was very good— not too sweet.
Called in a to go order from our hotel. The order was ready as promised and the food was great! I would recommend this place to everyone.
Service was friendly, fairly fast. Beer and lime margarita on the rocks hit the spot! It was the food that left the bad taste in our mouths. My husband had enchiladas and tamales, very bland. My chicken enchiladas were also very bland, the red sauce tasted odd, rather sweet, and the refried beans were on the cold side. The expected chips on the table were fresh and crisp, but again, the salsa was bland. My 81 yo mom would have liked it. Not a repeatable experience.
What a lovely spot off the highway. Unfortunately we must have had communication issues with our waiter but yes I got my 2 Modelo beers and salad but never the dinner we thought we ordered.
