Tasted pretty much the same. Decent enough to be edible, but that's where it stops. Overall the taste was pretty bland and boring and our pizza was sorely lacking in the amount of pepperoni on it. When a $21 pizza is comparable to a frozen pizza at a local grocery store, you're doing pizza all wrong.
Order the pizza Puff and the girl told me it 's frozen that 's no big deal they 're usually Frozen and not fresh cook it in the grease for a couple minutes and they 're good. But she really meant they are frozen she gave me a Frozen Pizza Puff. And we had a fairly good size order for takeout after we paid for the order we about died we realized that they have a C rating from the health department, which Google tells me that means they are on the verge of being closed up due to unsanitary conditions. Talking about being grossed out none of us could eat the food we don 't know if the cook had the runs or the food was spoiled and they were using it it could have been a number of things. A B. rating is atrocious but a C ??? They should have closed up until they get that c off the wall because many people won 't come back to include us and we ate many many times there...gross.. there 's a picture of the freezer burnt frozen pizza Puff
This was our first time at your restaurant. Readed good reviews, so we were excited to go there. We arrived in your sunset restaurant last Saturday. The person in the front counter. Did not even acknowledge us. She just kept talking to eighter a friend or customer. We stood there for 10 minutes, hoping she would let us know if there is a waiting list . But she kept on ignoring us. Finally, another waitress asked her if she helped us. But she kept on taking to that guy.Ordered the deep dish pizza and calamari for appetizers.Waited 45 minutes for our food. After 45 minutes, the pizza dough was still raw . Our waitress did everything she could to make it better. She ordered us another pizza. But this time, thin crust only took 20 minutes. We never go back there again. The food has no flavor.
I’m from Chicago and no way does this represent Chicago pizza. Thin crust was over baked and tasteless. Sauce is too sweet. Too much sauce on the deep dish and expensive for toppings. Won’t recommend. Fast food pizza is better. This is not Chicago style pizza. You’re being fooled. Go somewhere
As a 12 year Chicago transplant, when the local hidden gem Chicago style pizza spot, Amoré, opened its 2nd location in Henderson, I was very excited! They had some great pizza that actually tasted like home, and I enjoyed eating there frequently over the last couple of years. I just visited this week (Nov 2023), and unfortunately, it seems they have changed the sauce recipe, and it just isn't as good/taste like home anymore. Instead of a hearty, zesty tomato flavor, they overly spiced it up, went heavy on the oregano, and it just didn't hit the same. I'm super disappointed, as I truly loved this place, but I'm discouraged to come back and have the pizza again. They do have some decent appetizers; the sampler is good for a group, and the sandwiches have decent flavor, though a bit light on the meat. I would maybe still visit for one of the lunch options or to catch a game on one of the many tv's hung around the perimeter of the restaurant. Now the closest Chicago style pizza options we have here are the chain restaurants...Rosati's, Aurelio's, and Giordano's. Sigh.
