Contribuiți la feedbackWe had meals at Coconut House a few times before. Food, service and price were good. We haven't come for almost two years. Today we came for lunch. The experience was not the same anymore. We were served by a middle aged lady. When she took our order, we could sense that she was impatient. The food was still good, but the portion was much smaller. The soup costs $7-9 but it was served in a small bowl, which was not enough even for one person. Same as other dishes that we ordered. (Of course we are aware of the inflation. We compare the value with other restaurant. Overall we were disappointed by the experience and sadly will not come back.
There's no better way to celebrate Father's Day than by enjoying a family lunch here. The food was outstanding, and the service was friendly and fast, even with the restaurant bustling for the holiday! As the pictures show, the plates were wiped clean! The duck pancakes were the top choice for Dad, while my favorite was the fried ice cream!
I would love to give them 5 stars but unfortunately food quality has gone down. Their signature clay pot tofu is nowhere good as it used to be, it isn’t even sizzling anymore. Just tastes mediocre and lacks flavour that it used to have. Kam heong chicken was ok, but was a tad bit salty and could use more chilli. Looks like they may have lost their most talented chef hopefully they will improve in the future
We had a fantastic family dinner at this restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and they were all absolutely delicious! If we had to pick a standout, it would definitely be the braised eggplant. The service was also very welcoming, and to our surprise, they treated us to complimentary port wine at the end of our meal. Don't be misled by the restaurant's exterior, which resembles an office building; inside, you'll find a lovely, cozy atmosphere that encourages relaxation.
First off, the sizzling tofu wasn't actually sizzling, and its flavor was quite disappointing; it hardly resembled authentic Malaysian sizzling tofu. The salt and pepper pork didn't taste like salt and pepper either, and the pork itself had an odd flavor—probably not fresh. Additionally, the coconut rice was surprisingly bad; it was dry and lacked any coconut flavor. I ended up having to order steamed rice afterward, which is amusing considering the restaurant is called Coconut House. We also tried a coconut drink, and while the staff claimed it was fresh, I suspect they added sugar to sweeten it.
