Five Star Chinese - Hazleton

I 've been to Five Star Chinese Restaurant numerous times and can 't remember having a bad experience. They have fantastic food, run by the same friendly people and have recently added a sushi bar. We just ate there the other day and the sushi was also great. The rolls are standard steakhouse price. Two of my favs are the wonton soup and lo mein. You can tell they have their own unique recipes for dishes and don 't use the same old Chinese buffet taste you can get anywhere else. The wonton soup is the best I 've ever had. The dark broth is seasoned perfectly, with tasty chunks of pork and perfectly done noodles. I hope five star never changes their recipes, but I am glad they added the sushi bar :

By far the best Chinese spot around Hazelton area! Ordered General Tso's and it was awesome. Very meaty white meat (not stringy like most places have) and fair amount amount of food. Will order again and recommend to who ever is in the area

The food is excellent and there's plenty of it. The service is outstanding as well. We visit at least once a week and always have a great experience with the food. Everything is served hot and beautifully presented.

This is one of the best sushi places I know! The Philly roll is amazing! The staff is fantastic as well!

The atmosphere is pleasant, and the Pan-Asian menu offers a nice variety. The flavors are balanced, making it a great choice for a lunch stop during your travels.
