This is a family-owned gathering place that offers good company, great bartenders, and a fun atmosphere. I have known the family who owns this place since I was a child, and no matter how long it has been, you are always greeted like family. The small, charming establishment has been in the same location for many years, providing old-fashioned fun with great people. The service is excellent and it is a very affordable option for a night out, where you can play pool, enjoy inexpensive drinks, and listen to music of your choice on the jukebox. There are no strangers here - both the bartenders and customers will make you feel right at home. This has been my go-to spot for years, where everyone knows your name. I recently celebrated my birthday there with a group of friends and had such a great time that we didn't even take out our phones for pictures. If you're looking for a cozy, welcoming, and affordable place for fun, The Lantern is the place to go. A big thank you to everyone there for making my birthday special, especially Jonas, the best bartender ever. I will definitely be back.

I have lived in Haverhill for more than twenty years and consider myself a working-class customer who appreciates a relaxed atmosphere with fellow locals when I want to have a few drinks. The Lantern is the epitome of a neighborhood dive bar where I feel comfortable and at ease.

This is a family-owned bar that I have been visiting for nearly 35 years. I am familiar with the owners, both the father and mother, as well as their sons. It is a wonderful place.
