Vivo - Hartford

For breakfast I ordered a cornflakes coated French toast. It was disappointing because the cornflakes did not make it delightful as it was in the past and my French toast was hardly warm.

Excellent food and service was very goof. Servers were polite and accomodating.

We had a reservation for a Valentine's Day dinner in Vivo. When we arrived, there were a few waiting before us, but it took about five minutes to sit this a few - unclear why. When the host finally brought us to our table, the lights flickered over us like a Strobe light that made us feel catatonic before the appetizer. It took five minutes to follow the hostess and then she finally moved us. We then waited another 20 minutes without the waiter coming to our table to even give us water, taking much less a drink order. We grabbed a manager and let him know that we waited for a very long time without service, then he went to our waitress to tell her that we waited, and then she went straight to _an other table_ to take her order (they sat after us). At this point we just left. AWFUL SERVICE. Don't go to Vivo.

Considering how full the place was (about 30% of the service was EXTREMELY slow

You really can't go wrong here. Not crazy expensive, menu is not extensive but everything we ordered was executed very well and was delicious. One drawback was the dessert menu was not to my taste. Overall this place is really good.
