Morton's The Steak House - Hartford

Had a fun dinner with friends at the Capital Grille. This place is absolutely so classy and top-notch! The service was impeccable. We had an excellent server who anticipate our every move but didn't have her. I start out with bonanza wine. It was so yummy and then switched to a vodka club soda, which I told the server was made perfectly! we had cocktail served on a bed of ice with lemon and cocktail sauce so good! I had the salmon over green beans. The salmon was a little bit dry but a very generous portion and I still enjoyed it. I had a side of asparagus cooked to perfection, the bread was so soft and unsalted butter complement it well. My friend had the steak which picture turned out blurry with Holliday sauce. Aside of mashed potatoes my son is saying could be the best ever. While Expensive, this is quite an experience and I would highly recommend.

We just had a late, light meal...beet salad, grab lobster cake, parmesan truffle oil fries. The food was outstanding, and we had excellent, attentive service even though our order was smallish. We also had two specialty drinks, both outstanding with exceptional spirits. We plan to return soon for a full steak meal.

What a fantastic evening we had on Saturday night. Our server Mo was so great and quite attentive. Right when you walk in there 's a level of class here you don 't find anymore. Waiters have on jackets. Patrons were dressed nice which unfortunately you don 't see too much anymore. They have wine lockers right by the door and they explained the whole process to us. I ordered a cup of the lobster bisque which Mo told me wasn 't on the menu but is amazing. Had chunks of lobster on top. He offered fresh pepper to put on top which was nice. I 'm not a steak person and sick of salmon and didn 't want sea bass nor do I like ahi tuna so I asked if there were any specials and he said we have a South African lobster tail so I got that. Never had a South African lobster tail. If you aren 't a steak person you don 't have that many options but there are a few. I knew going in they don 't provide sides at this restaurant for I 've been to the bar and looked at the menu before so my entree was the lobster tail and that 's it. Had a wedge of lemon and butter to dip but don 't expect sides with your meal. The lobster tail was large so I definitely had enough food. I wanted to try the Au Gratin potatoes for a side. A bit too cheesy/rich for me but pretty nice flavor. After dinner Mo gave us warm towels and squeezed fresh lemon on them. That was SO NICE. Also brought us complimentary dessert and the cheesecake with the crystallized topping was unreal. Also flourless chocolate cake. A bit dry but was complimentary so can 't complain. They also stamped their logo in chocolate which was so cool. After dinner we went to the bar and had a couple glasses of Robert Hall Merlot which I made a note of in my phone it was so good. Great service in the bar as well. Overall amazing experience. Beautiful place.

Celebrated a memorable birthday dinner at Capital Grille in Hartford, and the experience was remarkable! The service was impeccable and really elevated the evening, starting with the warm welcome from Natalie, our sweet host. Lu, our awesome server, helped ensure our evening was special. You can't go wrong with the steak, an absolute highlight, incredibly delicious. Jose at the bar was wonderful to talk to too and provided us with our amazing drinks and drink recommendations. Highly recommend Capital Grille for its exceptional service, inviting atmosphere, and spectacular food!!
