Lazy 'j' Cafe - Hanna

Great lunch served by the friendly and humorous owner Jim. Turn off the highway and head to main Street. Hot coffee, cold ice cream, homemade soup, fresh sandwiches. Open weekdays 7-3. Cash only. Hidden gem.

If you can crack through Jim's shell he will make you smile. He starts work early to prepare homemade soup and sandwiches for his customers.

We stopped at the Lazy J for a quick bite to eat. We enjoyed the special of the day which was vegetable soup and an egg salad sandwich. We enjoyed a great cup of coffee with refills. The owner takes pride in the food he provides and clearly enjoys visiting with his customers.

Recently travelled in and around Hanna for a few weeks, and the Lazy J was a great little spot for breakfast and lunches as J makes everything himself (dairy free options available!). Egg salad highly recommended as is the hamburger soup. Definitely the highlight of our daily ventures and J was very friendly and a great 'host'. Will return! Note: only open during the week.
