Papa's Pizza - Gulf Shores

This place is fantastic! It feels like something you'd find on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. My wife enjoyed an incredible meatball sub, complete with a rich, flavorful sauce, large meatballs, and a perfectly toasted bun. I ordered the best-priced pizza, which was loaded with all the best toppings. The crust was crispy and flaky—absolutely worth it! The service was outstanding too; one waitress was working hard, efficiently managing all the tables and doing an amazing job. We will definitely return!

Absolutely BEST pizza around and best atmosphere! Everyone was so friendly! Loved the live music as well! If I could give a higher rating I would. We got pepperoni pizza, seafood pizza, and garlic cheese bread freaking delicious! The cheese and sauce they use is hands down the best around. On top of that, you can’t beat the prices!

My favorite restaurant in gulf shores. This place has excellent food. The pizza is the best I have had in the area, the burger was great, and the service was good. The only issue is the size, popularity and availability of parking. Basically it is a small place that is constantly packed, loud and has long waits. If you can get a parking spot they are close by, but more people are waiting outside typically than the amount of available parking. They did mess up my order one time a couple of years ago, basically they didn't hear one of my pizzas over the phone and there is such a long wait it wasn't worth waiting on them to cook it. Anyway if you don't mind waiting and being packed into a small space with tons of other people the food is great.

Papa Rocco's is a very popular place with a very long wait time. My family enjoyed an order of the Papas Buffalo Wings along with the Stuffed Mushrooms.. and let me say that the stuffed mushrooms were probably the best I've had ANYWHERE! We decided to be adventurous and try the Seafood Primavera Pizza and while it was definitely something different, it was still quite tasty. The only reason I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 is because (while we didn't mind the almost hour long wait) once we were seated, our waitress was not very attentive and our service was spotty at best. We would definitely still return though!

Had the best raw oysters on our trip thus far here. So good. They got a great source. Everyone enjoyed the cheese pizza. My daughter loved the Alpine burger. Very good steak sandwich. Great service. Wasn't crowded when we were here. Highly recommend this place.
