I stumbled over this restaurant while parsing menus for price alone. I actually went off hunting elsewhere for a while but I am so glad I came back. The service was quick and friendly, the amuse bouche fitted my entree. My french is rubbish but explaining things was no trouble for my waitress who could dip into English as needed. I can still taste the beef, no it's not stuck in my teeth. Beautifully rich, en point, still hard to believe it crowned a menu/formule of €30. In contrast the flavour of the white mousse in my desert (one of three flavours) was like a whisper, so delicate, just oil of cacao and cream, gone when I swallowed. I've been in France for two weeks and this meal has come out right near the top. If you're in Guillestre try La Bolée.
Absolutely delicious from the starter to the desert, great proportions and amazing flavors. The plates are lovely to look at and then lovely to eat. The subtle flavors in the chocolat dessert were amazing. Can't wait to go back. The waitress was lovely and efficient even though they were very busy and she was on her own.
We were recommended to go here by our hotel and what a great recommendation. It was delicious. A really good selection of food. Presentation was amazing. Service was very friendly. It was full even though it was a Monday night. Don't know if its in Michelin guide but it should be if its not.
Ate here two nights. Staff initially seemed busy and not very friendly but that soon changed. They were attentive, efficient and made us feel welcome and that it was important that we enjoyed our evening. The food was fantastic, nothing more to be said. They also have a small selection of interesting bottled beers which is not a common thing in southern French restaurants. One of these places where you leave a big tip and with a good feeling.
