Taking advantage of this offer, we decided to have dinner there, especially in a country where dining out can be quite pricey. We enjoyed the food, although the chicken curry we ordered was extremely spicy. The atmosphere resembles that of a pub, with games machines, bars filled with bottles, and tables tucked away for quiet conversations. Customers must order their food at the counter, as table service is not provided, and payment is made upon ordering, a common practice in English pubs. While the roasted meat was delicious and cooked perfectly, the burger was overcooked and lacked flavor in the cheese. The dishes are nicely presented, and overall, it's a pleasant place to dine. The menu features unique items, such as goat cheese and pumpkin, mushroom risotto, and a tasty fish dish with pigs. Our bill totaled 25 pounds for three people, including one main dish each and two beers per person. This seemed reasonable considering the price of a meal at Burger King for the same number of people.
Every Monday, the Barniz and Lettuce restaurant, an English chain of "healthy" eateries, offers half-priced food. So we decided to dine there to take advantage of this deal in a pricey country, which is hard to refuse. The food was served promptly, although the chicken curry we ordered turned out to be extremely spicy. The ambience resembled that of a pub, complete with game machines, shelves full of bottles, and tables tucked away for a more intimate dining experience. Customers have to order their food at the counter as table service is not provided, and payment is also collected when ordering. This may seem unusual, but it's typical of many pubs in England. The roasted meat was delicious and cooked to perfection, however, the burger was overdone and lacking in cheese. The dishes were well-presented and overall, it was a pleasant place to dine. The menu features unique items such as goat cheese and pumpkin salad, mushroom risotto, and a delectable fish dish with pork. In the end, the bill came to 25 pounds for three people, with each person enjoying a main dish and two beers. This was a great value considering that three meals at a fast food joint would have cost nearly the same amount.
