To a lot of people, probably the majority, that would be a nice, tasty surprise. A little kick as one reviewer put it. I, however, have some kind of tongue issue that developed in middle age, and I can't do more than a pinch of hot pepper. It literally hurts to eat it. I can't do cinnamon drops or red hots anymore either which makes me sad. The staff was very nice and accommodating with changing my meal out. I got a maverick biscuit with scrambled egg and sausage. It was Neese's which is first rate and was very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. The biscuits had a good flavor and were large, but they didn't hold together very well. They need a little more something to bind the dough together. In a biscuit place, the biscuits are everything. I went with friends,and one had fried chicken on her biscuit and seemed to enjoy it. The other had an eggs benedict biscuit. She would have liked more hollandaise, so evidently the sauce was good. I believe I'd try the pancakes or waffles next time, though. To be quite frank, I'm a native Southerner and have had better biscuits.

Great marketing Love the pics on Instagram. Great customer service Guy went out of his way to take care of u. Great menu Some interesting items on there! But the food was not great. Coffee was good and the biscuit was OK. The rest was bad.

I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant! Clean, friendly and the food was outstanding, seriously outstanding. LOVE the outdoor seating. I had the shrimp and grits and it was unlike any I’ve had before. A grits patty on a biscuit with gravy, andouille sausage and shrimp (perfectly cooked). So good! We will be coming here again and again!

Went there last weekend the food was not good asked them to refire it and they forgot then again it sucked.Left a review on google and the owner made excuses they were understaffed like it's not his fault.This place sucks!!!If you want sub par food and an owner that doesn't care this s your place!

I decided to give Maverick Biscuit a try this morning. And I am glad I did. I ordered the Biscuit Gravy, with sausage gravy to go. It smelled delicious on the way to work. After I got to my desk I immediately dove in started eating. The biscuit huge, and fluffy and buttery could have eaten that by itself. But the sausage gravy was fantastic with it. The kick of spice in the gravy complemented the biscuit perfectly. I will definitely be back to try more.
