Havana Flavor - Greensboro

This food truck is the only true cuban representation of food in the Greensboro area. I was highly anticipating eating here, coming from a cuban backround, I knew I would be a hard critic. I was very very pleased coming here. I give this truck a 5 out of 5 when it comes to flavor, true cuban flavor and textures. Love it. Every item was traditionally cuban made EXCEPT for the platanos Maduros (sweet plantain), which happen to be my favorite. Sweet plantain are very soft, crispy from the fry on the outside but very sweet and soft in the middle. These maduros were none of that. Not sweet at all, not soft (indicating the plantain was not ripe enough to fry correctly). This is the only reason I took a star off. I cant wait to return to try more !!!!

(4.5 stars) Normally based out of an Exxon in Summerfield, Havana Flavor will sometimes pop up in random residential neighborhoods in Greensboro/Jamestown/High Point. They are worth tracking down when they do, but for whatever reason, they usually take quite a while to set up. Don't expect them to be ready at their advertised start time. The food, however, makes up for the inconvenience. Havana Flavor's menu is fairly expansive for a food truck, boasting everything from classic Cubanos to Hawaiian sandwiches to a version of a tripleta and more. The Cuban Love (guava jelly in place of mustard) is as far from the original as I'll venture because the original is just that good here. The meats are tender, the bread is authentic, and portions are filling (especially if you are willing to add a side of plantains). At $7 per sandwich and $4 per side, pricing is perfectly reasonable, and Jose and his crew turn around orders quickly. Havana Flavor offers as good a Cuban sandwich as I've had anywhere, and if you find yourself craving one, make this your preferred option.

Best Cuban Sandwich in the Piedmont Triad hands down. The pork they use puts Cuban's that I've had in FL to shame. Plantains are done right here too. They are pretty fast, but do get busy during lunch hours. They recently started taking credit cards and the best place to check the schedule for this truck is their Facebook page.

Excellent Cubans with nice portions. Also has the funky fries with pork, the fries are cut chip style and handmade and this dish was excellent and the flavors from the sauce to the seasoning were amazing. Updating review for a new sandwich which was GREAT! I had a 4 star on this food trailer but after having conversations with the owner, his daughter and everything I have tried it?s a 5. Do not miss out on this made it to order authentic Cuban food trailer!

We love the food, Jose is from Cuba and he knows Cuban food and the flavor is captured in all his foods. If you don?t know this type of cuisine then your missing out on a flavor explosion for ur taste buds. We usually drive an hour to get at least 4 Cubans to go and one to split in the truck.
