I drove for five hours to get there, bringing some friends who were visiting Miss Patti for the first time. However, upon our arrival, we learned that all the shops were closed due to the rain. I was understandably very disappointed. I'm not sure when or if we will return.
Interestingly, the manager was checking on other tables around us to see how their meals were, but completely bypassed our table. I'm not one to make a scene or complain, so I paid the bill and left. Our server mentioned that the kitchen staff had instructed him to serve everything together, which felt like he was throwing his coworkers under the bus. I was really disappointed—everything else about the atmosphere was nice, but having a cold meal for $60 was frustrating. This is the first time I’ve ever written a review or complained about a meal, but I felt it was necessary given how disappointed we were. While I normally wouldn’t have tipped the server due to my feelings about the experience, I didn’t want to penalize him since it wasn't entirely his fault. I just hope they improve their communication in the kitchen.
The food was decent, although a bit pricey. I enjoyed a slice of cake for $7.99, which was good, and the highest sampler platter was $15.99. The homemade chips were a nice touch as well.
