Big Shawn’s Cheesesteaks

The best $20 Philly Cheese Steak sandwich in Grand Rapids. I had the Hot Philly, 10 combo and loved it. My first time here and I recommend it to all Philly lovers.

I wish I could give this more than 5 stars. My fiancé and I drove an hour up from Kalamazoo and it was 100% worth it. I honestly don?t even know where to begin. You get so much steak in your Philly and it?s such amazing quality! No fatty pieces, very tender and seasoned well. Mushrooms, onions and peppers were fresh. My fiancé got banana peppers on his and loved it! He said it was honestly the best Philly he?s ever had. The chicken and steak egg rolls are to die for! So crispy and the sweet chili dipping was perfect with the chicken egg roll. We got Buffalo sauce too and that was fantastic! We got seasoning salt on our fries which was a great call on my fiancés behalf. I ordered a small mot stick and they were great too. He also got the steak hot Cheeto egg roll which he said was amazing. We will definitely be returning!

We spied this unpolished gem while shopping at the local Mediterranean grocery store. After reading some mixed reviews we gave it a chance. We were not disappointed. The store was busy. The staff was pleasant and hustling to get orders up. Our order appeared quickly and was delicious though maybe a just a tad salty. Cheesesteak with onions and American and Whiz. The bun was authentic and well grilled. I hope they grow and decide to install some bigger and better exhaust fans but fortunately its carry out.

I DID NOT ORDER FOOD! Upon arrival one lady asked how I was doing and if I needed time I said yes. As I was looking a LOUD and RUDE employee came from the back. She was yelling at me about the menu and was very condescending and sarcastic when I asked questions about the menu. I ultimately decided not to order and left. The over all look of the establishment wasn?t the best but sometimes those sort of places have great food. It costs nothing to be nice! I will not give them my business!

Big Shawn's is definitely a staple in grand rapids in my opinion if it isn't it should be! I feel like I actually went to Philadelphia for a cheesesteak when I come here..lol cause when I say everything I oder from this establishment is ???? I mean it always taste the same or better every time I return! My favorite is the egg rolls I can eat them everyday but unfortunately I live out of town but I often have a taste for big Shawn's will drive a hr or so just to get some it's very addictive worth the travel. I haven't been to a place that can match they're flavor make there menu item's the way they do. They also support small businesses I was able to leave flyers for @superbshoecleaners my shoe cleaning restoration company so again it's a win win for me when I come. The customer service is excellent they're pretty fast when it comes to getting orders complete as well as making sure everything is correct! I'll be heading here soon for a #BIG Order ????
