There are not too many vegan options but what is surprising. delicious dishes and high quality ingredients. a bit expensive but worth it. I want more gluten-free desserts!
There is now a restaurant called pura vida instead of dara. they still serve healtgy eating with vegan options. we had suppen for the first cure, a carrot soup and a pumpkin soup. not much taste, but surely no unnecessary ingredients. for the second cure were auberginen with lenses and sauce baked and that was delicious but small.
Last week I passed this place and asked about their vegan options. it didn't seem so promising. due to the positive reviews below, I finally decided to give it an attempt. I should have known. To be fair, I did it there today, that's not an ordinary day. that meant that they had no daily menu and instead offered a (very meat and fish heavy) la carte fare, which was probably more expensive. I had two courses, a pumpkin and orange soup with something broth I found decent. I also had a hummus deluxe that was a bit sweating; not only the fresh crimped were just a hauch of dill, the actual hummus was best forgotten, both in terms of texture and taste. there is no reason to serve this as a meal, or to spend 14 euro on this type of deal, especially if they have the fully vegetarian (and much cheaper) zoe food right around the corner.
We celebrated my girlfriend's birthday and found this fantastic restaurant with a lots of vegan food. It gave her day a unique and gastronomical vegan experience. We had tasty soup made from the ground up with fresh local vegetables and a falafel platter with a lot of tasty dishes and home made grain and rye bread. As a dessert we had coffee. We simply couldn't eat more so we save the homede cakes to next time. We highly recommend this restaurant for any vegan/vegetarian that wants to experience old town atmosphere and fresh food.
