Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Yeah, I'd plan a whole trip back to Memphis just for this. The plate of chicken I got woke me up. The batter was delightfully seasoned and I loved their mac and cheese and beans. Their tea was also amazing, though it was a bit on the sweeter side even when I ordered it half sweet and half unsweetened (which I absolutely loved, but ya girl is pre-diabetic and her waistline needs to be snatched for her grad photos this May iykwim). If I ever win the lottery I won't brag, but there will be signs (I'd fly here for the chicken)

The food was very good! I haven’t eaten here since 2019, and it tasted just as good as I remembered. I got the 2 piece dark meal and the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was juicy and very good. Side of okra was good as well as the Mac and cheese and beans

Taking the crown for best chicken in town. Just note for parents, chicken is made in peanut oil. People were friendly. Will be back for sure!

Kim was amazing! She was kind and patient with our special needs son! Our food was so good! What a great way to start out our night before seeing a movie!
