Good food but stopped here during covid 2 years ago and not a single person was wearing a hair net or mask. Gross and not hygienic.
I love stopping at small town bakeries for breakfast when we travel. I was thrilled to find out that Gering had one. This was the nicest bakery! I love the old-school sign out front. The bakery cases were filled with cookies, donuts, muffins and turnovers. So hard to choose! We asked the girl behind the counter what they're best known for, and she said the glazed raised donuts. She was right! They were awesome.
We ordered 2 graduation cakes for my daughter. We were told to pick it up from Sidney on Friday at 1:30. However the cake we needed most wasn’t brought to Sidney. We drove 63 miles to Sidney and 63 back with only 1 cake. The lady in Sidney graciously drove back to Gering to bring the cake back and we made arrangements to pick up the cake Saturday. Got up at 5:15 and drove the 63 miles back. Imagine the disappointment when we arrived, saw the cake, and realized my daughters name was misspelled. We saw the ticket Friday and it was spelled correctly on the ticket and my mom spelled it 3 times over the phone. Now we have to take graduation pictures with a cake that says Cassiey instead of Cassidy. Rolling pin gave us free donuts but that doesn’t make it right. We have been getting cakes from rolling pin for more than 25 years. Sadly I think we might be done.
Need to learn how to bake. Pecan pie was raw. And red velvet cake was brown ,dry and had buttercream frosting instead of cream cheese. For the price they charge they are not worth it.
