Beau-rivage - Genève

My recent stay at a particular hotel was an absolute delight, largely due to the impeccable service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. Knowing that we had an early departure before breakfast hours, the thoughtful staff went above and beyond by providing us with coffee to go. It may seem like a small gesture, but it made a big difference in starting our day on a positive note. Moreover, the hotel staff went out of their way to assist us in making dinner reservations at a nearby restaurant. Their local knowledge and willingness to help saved us the hassle of navigating through unfamiliar surroundings, allowing us to fully enjoy our evening. Of course, the breathtaking view from the hotel further enhanced our experience. However, what truly set this hotel apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Every member of the team, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff, exhibited a genuine commitment to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. Their friendliness, attentiveness, and professionalism made us feel truly valued as guests.

The menu is classic European. A beautiful blend of French and Italian. Fresh fish, pasta, beef dot the menu and the wine list is excellent.

I booked a table for 6 people for a drink, on arrival they gave us a table with 5 chairs and a stool. THe waiter took his time getting us an extra chair and made us feel they were doing us a favour. We ordered 3 whiskies, wine and juice which were accompanied with 12 cashew nuts, 8 olives and a couple of almonds. No refills for the nuts. the table was getting messy with the olive pips but no one volunteered to clear the table, take away empty glasses or ask us if we wanted something else to drink. I then ordered 2 cheese plates because there were no nut refills, we were served with 2 small plates of cheese and a basket of 6 small toasts. The waiter was clumsy and the barman particularly unfriendly. The bill came up to CHF 200. which we had no problem with but I would have liked better service and a more affable attitude. We all decided we would never go back there again.

We had the “thé a la française” and loved it. It came with 7 pastries (very mini but so delicious) and the tea. The price was excellent for 32 chf. The place is very cozy and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it!

Mein Mann und ich haben die Atmosphäre sehr genossen. Sehr angenehm, ein herrlicher Blick auf den See und den Mont-Blanc, und das Personal ist wirklich aufmerksam und professionell. Ich empfehle das Albertine's wärmstens!
