Contribuiți la feedbackIn Bavaria we quickly adapt to the habits and so after an exciting morning and lunch in Garmisch we enjoyed a hearty bread time. Not only by chance we came to the Swiss beard because he had met us at the Werdenfelser Museum in the morning. Now you can google so long you want, you will probably find nothing to a Swiss beard, except this gastronomic location. To make it short: The Swiss beard was known in the good old time as a mountain guide and respected in this area between Karwendel and Zugspitze, which came from a guest house in Kaltenbrunn. Whether it was, I can't say it. The hotel and restaurant is located on the road between Garmisch and Mittenwald, just a few kilometers from Garmisch. I think it is worth taking the path from Garmisch here. You cannot miss the Hotel Restaurant, because the building that stands on the slopes beyond the street falls through its magnificent Lüftel paintings and if you stand up and look more closely, you can also discover the Swiss Bartl. I can only judge the restaurant we visited in early May 2014, but not the hotel. Inside there is a Bavarian cozy guest room. If you look more closely here, discover a tiled stove as well as very beautiful ceiling lights. Everything looks very well maintained up to the toilets. The map offers typical regional. Meals are also served in the afternoon, which was very close to us. As we wanted to go to another restaurant in the evening, we shared a bread time and took an Augustinian (since with and without alcohol). Our wish to share a bread time was welcomed by the waiter very kindly. We got two blankets and were served after a reasonable time a very plentiful bread timer with a basket of different types of bread from which we were very well fed. In addition to various types of sausages and cheese, there was also a very creamy, mild obazda and a delicate, juicy cooking ham. In the middle there was a bouquet of fresh, crispy salad with a very tasty knofidressing (we like garlic very), which was stirred with cream. All in all, the bread time was very tidy. Shortly after serving, it was once again ensured whether we are satisfied. Later it was asked unobtrusively and friendly if we had more wishes. Overall, the service was very attentive. We felt very comfortable here. Very saty and satisfied we left with a toe approx. 20 € incl. Drink the store. The breadboard met with €10.90, two small Augustinians (0.25 l à 2€, a soft 0.5 l with €3. Prices are slightly higher here than we have seen in the area for comparable dishes, but the price-performance ratio is still appropriate overall. I think the Swiss beard, as we know him, deserves four ordinary 5 stars. P. S. In summer you can also sit in front of the restaurant. However, I would probably be disturbed by transit traffic, the road under the terrace.
4 nachten in hotel gebleven .
I´ve been here a few times over the years, when my Mother visits I tend to overeat and here is the perfect place to sample Bavarian food in a wonderfully comfortable restaurant. The service is always fast and friendly, the food always very good and tasty, the taste of the tomato soup almost explodes on your taste buds!I can highly recommend this family run restaurant, the prices are very reasonable as well and well worth stopping off on the way to and from Austria, especially as there´s nearly always a long traffic jam during the high seasons. Much better to spend your time here having a delicious meal than getting your next heart attack in a slow moving crawl to Munich or Innsbruck!
