This is a great hotel, especially if you're looking to stay for a week or so. It's got everything you need and kind cheerful staff for affordable prices, we were very happy with it. That being said it wasn't spectaculair, but it didn't need to be that. So I ordered a 2 person room with separate beds, which turned out to be a family room with a collapsible bunk bed. The mattress of the bunk bed was a little firm for me, and the pillows were rather flat, but they provide enough to stack and I still slept just fine. The double windows block out the noise of the street really well and there was an aircon. The building has a slightly aged, dare I say, rustic, look on the outside but the rooms are well kept and clean. We also booked inclusive for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is a small buffet with an assortment of food and drink options (I recommend the peach (maybe apple? juice from the machine . Nothing super special, but there's your staples like croissants, fruit, milk and eggs with bacon and/or sausages. Dinner is a slightly different menu from day to day with a couple of return dishes like the pizza and the salads. If you booked inclusive you get a choice of two courses from the last two pages, and there's some really nice choices in there! I recommend the sea-bass if you like fish. Dishes with cheese have A Lot of cheese. I don't mind that usually but whoof, this sure was, a lot. There's a small spa tucked away in a refurbished storage area (I assume it's that because of the vaulted ceiling they renovated the space into a lovely two person hide away that you can use an hour at a time. There's a small jacuzzi, a sauna, a waterfall shower and an assortment of tea, water and bisquits. Bring some soap and shampoo for the shower and keep in mind that, unless you're only dipping your feet in, you can't share the jacuzzi. I really enjoyed spending some time there, and it's a good activity for a lazy morning or a rainy day. We also ventured to the private beach, which is a patch of grass with a little bar. You can get a ticket for it at the reception. I think because it was the off season it was free, but I understand usually you need to pay extra for this service. After a short walk you'll find the beach, the staff there immediately put some chairs and a parasol out for us and the water was still quite nice. Very chill way to spend your afternoon. Bring some watershoes, as the beach is all small pebbles. I can imagine for some of the services you do need to be quite early to book them at the reception in the summer, so keep that in mind. The hotel itself is in a good hiking area, with some nice vistas nearby. If you've got a car it's worth driving to Sirmione, which will take you a little under an hour. I really enjoyed the small botanic garden a little ways down the mountain as well. Enjoy your stay!
