Bow Street Market - Freeport

I like this little place especially. Good Deli! Love the hot meals since I work on site. Good stuffed goods. Entryway is always a bit touching and going with other guests.

Local market. Great deli and seafood. Has many of Hannaford store brands and many local farmers' produce. Friendly and helpful staff. Almost everyone wears masks.

Wonderful selection. A fantastic meat section with great butchers. The quality of their meat surpasses what you can get in a traditional grocery store.

As a traveler in the area, I visited this place once. I'm just evaluating it because I thought other vegan visitors might be interested to know what options are available to them. There were some vegan-specific foods, but not everything we had hoped for. We found in the chilled Aisles there was a vegan cheese, milk alternatives (a few, some breakfast sausages, waffles, milk-free Ben and Jerry's (a few flavors, they had Phish Food! a handful of dry objects. I found a vegan labeled dark chocolate bar as well as the registers. Outside of vegan specific articles, and the average, already-vegan things like popcorn, bread, etc., they have made on site articles and unique flavors throughout the business. We found this interesting as a traveler. The bakery offers treats from local bakeries that we have recognized. This is a clean and beautiful business, and a good hold for basics such as production, bread etc. If you are looking for this special vegan item or back ingredient, however, you can try somewhere else. We appreciate having it on our trip nearby.

Big family market. Huge butcher shop and the ability to buy meat in small quantities (in contrast to Hannaford or lawn). The Deli is phenomenal! Everything is made from scratches and is really delicious with bakery! Tons of local products and a huge craft beer, wine and liqueur. Call before or order sandwiches and pizza online there is usually a wait for lunch.
