Backwoods Bbq - Fredericksburg

We've been trying to get there for months. I've eaten hundreds of pounds of ribs all over the country, but these pork ribs are the best I've ever had, even my own house. Michael and JJ are the best! We had other items in the menu that were all excellent, zero complaints or reservations. I can't wait to come back on a Friday and get me a humongo. Ribeye, I'm ready!!!! Praise God, a little on heaven here on earth. The staff and all there are great! Thank you for a wonderful experience.

My friend and I have Yalls location on numerous occasions in the 9 months I visit here 1lived... and we still have to be disappointed.... I am a picky brisket eater (my brother is a competitive request) but you are up along his and the sauce is brilliant, but I can't go without my bacon pasta salad.... this is one of the most beautiful pages and I usually don't eat cold sides with my bbq.... I always tell the owner when he and his wife eat in my restaurant in Kerrville that they forget my pasta.... ty that they come to my establishment and as promised I was there repairing for my pasta... as well as my marble cut with the bark brisket plate... I'm back.... the good work...

We were a few church retreats from San Antonio, so we were a big group. The whole food was delicious and many options to choose from: Brisket, Tritip, turkey, ribs and pork ribs. Service was great by the entire staff nd owner Mike was very friendly and accommodating with out schedule. Very recommended. Next time!

I thought Coopers was the best. They beat Coopers. Had the bovine breeze and it was brilliant (the “healthy” version, not marbelized). Had a lot of taste. The green beans were also great.

When your in Fredericksburg, Backwoods is definitely the place to eat at! The food is amazing, the owners are wonderful people, who always greet you with a friendly smile, and sometimes a HUG! Whether your looking for a luxury spot or picnic outdoors, check it out! You will NOT be disappointed. And for those who want great BBQ in Mason, try our own Cooper's BBQ it is the place to go!
