Maredo Steakhouse - Frankfurt

This was my first time visiting Maredo! We got the meun's in English and our waiter was really good with answering our questions in English. My fajita was so good! I had the Guacamole and Smoked Tomato Chutney Dip as my two dips. There was lettuce, tomatoes, onions to put in my fajita. I just loved it!

Very poor food, very poor service. I have schnitzel which tasted ordinary. I would choose another restaurant given the chance. A beggar also came through and was eating/drinking left overs on the tables. Also calling out to staff/waitresses. Instead of moving him along, they ignored him. He then went table by table and asked for money. Not a very pleasant experience at all.

The lunch menu always offers something nice and affordable in the combination: salad, meat, side. In this case, salad from the buffet, chicken breast and a baked potato with sour cream. Not memorable, but at a price of less than 10 Euros unbeatable, and being able to sit in the Fressgasse in the sun is just what you need as a break during a busy workday.

I know there are a few of them in Frankfurt and they should all hold the same standard, I read reviews about them and it sounded like a very nice place to eat meat.But everything we ordered was really horrible, let's start with the salad bar first time you take from the bar you need to pay €5 something and the next time is €3 something you get a very small plate but that is ok because anyway everything is old and smells like it was standing there for a long time, so nothing is fresh cut and there are a lot of things that look like they come out of a can.The meat we asked the waitress how does the meat come she said they can only do it medium or well done so we asked for medium but still got well done so I was dry and not tasty, we also ordered a baked potato and it too tasted old and the sour cream tasted like mayonnaise when we asked the waitress if they have normal sour cream she told us this is how they have it and they have no more sour cream in the kitchen at all.At the end we payed a lot and left really unsatisfied and it was not even dinner it was at 2 in the afternoon.

The salad bar is of very poor quality and their beer too. Chicken wing were not good and the sirloin was good. The service is slow and non responsive.
