Pelican Landing - Fort Lauderdale

The restaurant was empty and the service was lacking. A yacht obstructed the view in front of the restaurant, and it had been there for several days. Despite the promising appearance of their website, the actual dining experience was disappointing.

The service was slow and the menu lacked descriptions. There were nuts on the food even though it was not mentioned on the menu. However, the view was beautiful.

The restaurant was extremely noisy with a rowdy bar atmosphere. It was clear that the manager was not present that evening. The bartender allowed a group of intoxicated patrons to become loud and disruptive, making for a less-than-elegant dining experience.

Fantastic restaurant, but the service was incredibly rude! I had made a reservation for a large group a month in advance, but they didn't make many accommodations for us. They seated us at two separate tables and refused to let us push them together. However, another large group (who didn't have a reservation) came in and were allowed to rearrange four tables together! The manager was very disrespectful and dismissive towards me. I do not recommend this place at all!

The location of this restaurant is fantastic, although some may find it a bit tricky to locate at first. The signage is clear, so we had no trouble finding it. The food was simply delicious and the portions were generous. The conch appetizer was so tasty that we would return just for that! We opted for tacos as our main dish, which came with a delightful salad topped with cashews. Two tacos were more than enough for a satisfying meal. Lastly, the cinnamon and sugar croissant donut with vanilla bourbon creme for dessert was absolutely heavenly! Overall, this restaurant exceeded our high expectations in every way.
