We ordered 8 dishes for 3 people, costing $52.80, plus $2 per person for tea/water, coming to a total of $58.80. The food was average in taste, and the staff were satisfactory. We had to flag them down for service though. The squid tentacles, stuffed tofu, and stuffed eggplant (3 pieces each) were quite pricey at $8.80 each. In Brisbane, there are many Yum Cha restaurants, but Haoke stands out as the best overall. The atmosphere is pleasant and the restaurant is kept clean. When it comes to deep fried foods, the cleanliness of the frying oil is essential, and Haoke meets this standard. They offer a variety of tasty snacks typical of Yum Cha. The only drawback to note is the small car park, so it's best to arrive early. I highly recommend Haoke to fellow Yum Cha enthusiasts.
I went to this restaurant for lunchtime yum cha on a Friday. Luckily, I was with a Chinese friend because there is no trolley service on weekdays and the menus are only available in Chinese. It was quite crowded and difficult to find a parking spot in the shopping center, but we managed to find a spot on a nearby street. The staff was polite, although we had to wave our arms to get their attention at times. As someone who loves dim sum and has visited many yum cha restaurants, I would say this place is decent, but nothing exceptional.
Good place for your dim sum fix. Prices are reasonable and taste good. Decent table service. But utensils , bowls and plates placed on the table can be dirty. We had to use paper towels to wipe away visible black dirt before we used them. Watch out when ordering extra condiments such as sauces, they charge extra for them. All cards payment will incur a surcharge, including eftpos.
This Yum Cha place can be classified as one of the best in Brisbane. It's very popular among Chinese. The range of dishes is quite extensive, and the service is excellent. In addition to trolley service, the waiter/waitresses do come to your table with trays of limited number of plates, as if they are special dishes. The prices are about the same as other places. There is only one problem about this place, ie. parking. You should come early to avoid this problem. Booking will be a good idea especially at the weekend.
