Turmeric Indian Nepalese - Florence

This is my favorite place to eat in Fremont County!

I got the veggie pakoras, chicken jwano, Saag paneer (both made spicy), and garlic and cheese naan. The curries were served with plain white rice. The portion sizes felt a bit small for the $17 price tag on the curries. The pakoras were okay, consisting of onions, peppers, and cauliflower in a fried batter, and the chutneys that accompanied them were nice. The jwano didn't have the spiciness I was expecting. The tomato-based curry had a homemade quality, and the addition of ajwain (carom seeds) gave it some flavor. However, beyond that, it was just another standard tomato curry—nothing too exciting. On the other hand, the Saag was pleasantly spicy and very flavorful. It wasn't just typical Saag; they definitely enhanced the spinach flavor. The paneer was first fried separately, which added to the richness of the curry. I enjoyed it more than the jwano, though both curries were quite oily, which unfortunately seeped into the takeout bag. I managed to separate some of the oil to use later. The cheese naan was loaded with cheese, making it quite heavy on its own. I only managed to eat a quarter of it. The garlic naan was decent, but I would have preferred it to have more garlic. The rice was slightly hard but paired well with the curries. Overall, the food was decent, but a bit pricier than I anticipated. By the way, they offer Indian beer, so if you're a beer drinker, that's worth checking out!
