Panorama La Scaletta - Florence

An absolutely amazing view, the best ever we have seen in Italy. Attentive staff and amazing food, we would highly recommend this restaurant.

The view was pretty but the food was TERRIBLE. We couldn't eat it and had to walk out mid meal. The wasps were eating our food, and made it even more unappetizing than it tasted. The ladies who were our servers were nice. The wine was fine. We ordered 5 dishes, and all of them were seemingly made my someone with no cooking experience. Flavorless cold steak, the oysters tasted bad, and the kiwi sorbet concept doesn't make anysense, there is no cohesion in this dish. The gnocchi was almost edible but not quite.

The setting was so beautiful. Watching the sun set over the rooftops of Florence was such a treat. It was hard to decide what to have as the menu was filled with lots of tantalising tastes. The seared tuna with sun dried tomatoes, grilled peppers and leeks was delicious and the ricotta and pistachio semi freddo was absolutely gorgeous. Think it up there with the best meals I’ve ever had!

Service was top quality. View is breathtaking. Food was good but not as good as I was expecting. Prices are high
