We had all sorts of questions and they patiently answered them all. We wanted to make a yogurt dish that we had more than a decade ago and they figured out what we were talking about somehow, provided us with ingredients and the directions on how to make it. We also picked up Kibbee, Manakeesh (spelled wrong most likely , and grape leaves to have some delicious meals all week. When we asked for Kanafeh, they did not have it but said if we order it ahead they would be happy to make it for us. We did. They carry baklava trays from Dearborn, which we picked up. On top of the display case are some sweets that they make in house- try the date cookies, they were delicious! They also have a variety of spices and common middle eastern ingredients available for purchase- all the stuff that you can't find at Meijers or Krogers. They apologized that they could not close the pita bag since it was still steaming hot out of the oven : We really enjoyed the visit and these wonderful ladies and will be feasting for the rest of the week. Highly recommend this place and if you are looking for something specific, call ahead- odds are in your favor they will graciously prepare it for you.
Falafel is the best. They have a decent menu for bakery options. It is small grocery store as well so you might find dairy and other middle eastern products.Staff are very nice.Easy access and free parking
These Israeli ladies ROCK! We’ve been eating with them for a couple of years and have never been disappointed! They make everything from scratch too! I had wondered why the Falafel was extremely good… some of the best I’ve ever had! Well it’s because they don’t use a mix they make their own mix for the dough! It’s better than what I had in the middle east! They have a brick oven and their bread is fabulous! The Manesh is extra good too. The wraps are generous with ingredients and super flavorful. Last week we went in and the ladies were hand rolling the Grape Leaves too! Their salads are awesome and super fresh! We order a large quantity and divide it up like a smorgasbord! It is over an hour away and worth the drive! Nothing compares that I’ve had anywhere in Michigan! And actually other than Toronto I really haven’t found anything of this quality in the whole area. Chicagoland has a Israeli restaurant that is almost as good. I urge anyone that enjoys fresh and quality middle eastern food to try them! It won’t disappoint.
The staff are very gracious and helpful. The food is awesome!Since I posted my initial review above, I have made it a point to stop in at least once a week. Often, I pick up a falafel sandwich and one of their salads for lunch at work. Delicious!Once Great Lent is over, I look forward to trying several other their items. The ladies are always full of smiles and are very patient. When I leave, I am smiling because I know I have some great food and because they have made me feel good.
Incredible authentic food with the sweetest service! Very lucky to have a place like this in Flint
