The Blue Water House - Lewes

The best of the best!! Rick, the host was super as well as Cony who prepared all the food for breakfast.Delicious and makes the best blueberry pancakes. The room, the Hemingway was soooo nice and comfortable. The bed gave my wife and I the greatest rest. We found Blue Water on the internet. You really. Never know what type of establishment you are getting but we hit the lottery. Arrived on Friday. , July 29 th and were greeted by Rick the owner. We checked in and Rick insisted he would get our luggage and bring it in. The large screen Tv was great and we were able to watch movies on AMC. We also had the news on CNN. We had our dog with us and Rick's dogs, Remmy. And Ringo made our dog , Remmy feel very comfortable with their friendliness., The weather was so hot we couldn't take our dog on the beach at all but we took our dog to various restaurants that allowed dogs.I could write a lot more but suffice it to say if you're looking for the perfect B and B in the Delaware beaches the Blue Water House should be your destination. The only bad thing about our vacation there was we had to leave but rest assured we have plans to go back in October when the weather is a little cooler so we can take our dog to the beach. This was our 3rd time here and we are already planning to return in a few months. We like to try to get the Hemmingway Suite (the largest but also most expensive room) when we stay. Tony and Rick always treat us so well and Remmington the big little dog is still there, too. The breakfast is cooked to order and delicious. So many nice touches here. We love it!

Update. After not providing any form of apology, I demanded a refund... also ignored. At that point my only recourse as a consumer was to post reviews here and elsewhere. Owner responded. Called me an a**hole and again threateningly demand that I come see him face to face (see screenshot)

I don't ever write yelp reviews but couldn't resist. This is a fantastic place to stay. The home is beautiful and covered in art. Rick was so extremely welcoming and kind. Tony was awesome, helpful and makes a great breakfast! Thank you for providing such a glorious stop for people from all over to relax and enjoy. The charismatic experience is one of a kind that you will never forget. I hope to come by again. I wish the world was more like this home. There several great restaurants nearby. I would highly recommend half full for pizza and oyster brewery for great beer and Irish eyes for music.

First time staying here. Found out about it through Faithful Friends animal shelter silent auction. First thing I will say is the place was spotless. Everyone is really really nice. The decorations were absolutely amazing. Every time we walk down the stairs into another room or outside we noticed new things. Definitely an artist's paradise. Five minutes walking distance to the beach and 15 minutes to get into Rehobeth. We had an absolute blast. Plus they had an awesome dog who loved belly rubs and several feral kitties that were very friendly outside. Breakfast was delicious. Didn't use the bikes but wide selection. We plan on going back. Each room had a different theme. So unique.
